Event - Engineer Visits Year 6

As some Year 6 pupils enjoyed a challenge day at Alcester Grammar School, others were visited by engineer Tom Wrigley, who has previously worked in Formula 1 and now designs and builds wind turbines.

It was a day of exploration and design, leading to improvements to a range of existing products such as mobile phones, hockey sticks and scooters. Pupils found out about the use of renewable energy and production of a range of materials, with consideration for the impact on the Earth's resources.

A thoroughly interesting day for everyone involved.
