Event - World War II Maths Day

10 November 2011

Children in Key Stage 2 were dropped behind enemy lines this week to carry out some top secret maths work for the British Government and the French Resistance!

They carried out a range of interesting World War 2 related activities including weighing food items and using their rations to buy them. The children they cracked codes to discover secret messages and instructions and carried out a battleship activity to plot where the enemies ships and submarines would be.

It was tough but someone had to do it! Thank you to our volunteer spies!
