Event - Years 3 and 4 Stone Age Day
18 September 2018
Pupils in Years 3 and 4 visited Compton Verney this week to see what it was like to live as Stone Age people.
They made bread, created fire using a flint and created their own cave art by grinding charcoal with mud and using leaves and twigs as paintbrushes. They also made animal pens from wattle and daub and made large shelters from sticks.
When they were back at school they investigated what Stone Age people ate by dissecting 'Stone Age Poo'. They were able to identify fish bones, berries, grains, feathers and seeds.
