Event - Year 5 visit Rushwick Organic Farm

On Wednesday some of our Year 5 children visited Rushwick Organic Farm and Farm Shop in Worcestershire as part of our project with the Food For Life Partnership. The visit enabled children to understand the link between farming and the food that we buy in the shops and markets.

We looked at free range chickens and egg production, we planted sweetcorn and looked at a wide range of vegetable and salad crops in poly tunnels and fields.

The day gave us an important insight into the value of soil and crop management.
