Event - National Heroes Day

Our school celebrated the first National Heroes Day by dressing up as our most inspiring hero. The costumes were fantastic and honoured a range of exceptional heroes including very special Mums and Dads.

We have discussed with the children the difference between a celebrity and a hero and also the qualities that we admire in a hero and how they might inspire us to do well in our own lives.

It has been a fantastic way for children to develop their aspirations and hopes for the future, as well as identifying admirable qualities in others while raising money for the 'Help for Heroes' charity.
