Event - Year 3 and 4 at Henley Nature Reserve
2 July 2012
Year 3 and 4 classes braved the weather and visited Henley Nature Reserve on Monday 2nd July as part of their work on habitats.
They saw a variety of wildlife in the woodland and meadow including spotted orchids, and had a visit from the centre’s barn owl. The children were able to identify deer and badger tracks and learnt what cuckoo spit and oak apples are. They also went pond dipping before building a dam in the river.
Everyone got very wet but still had lots of fun! Thank you to our band of willing volunteers!
