Event - Christmas at Bidford
December 2009
The preparation for Christmas at Bidford Primary School is always an exciting and busy time. Our activities start with the Christmas Fayre organised by the BSA where a visit from Father Christmas is guaranteed.
Our classrooms and corridors are filled with seasonal art work both traditional and festive. Each class makes Christmas decorations for their class tree, then all the children vote for their favourite and the winner is our school entry for the annual St Laurence Christmas Tree Festival.
Our reception children join with the Willow Tree Nursery for our Christmas tableau of songs and stories. Children in year 1 and 2 put on a performance to their families telling the traditional Christmas Story.
Finally on the last day of term we all walk to church where the children re-enact the Nativity Story and we reflect on the true meaning of this special time.
