Event - Antarctic Pioneers

Children in Year 1 and 2 have followed in the footsteps of Sir Robert Falcon Scott, Evans, Bowers, Wilson and Oates this week as they took part in a recreation of the South Pole Expedition of 1912.

Fuelled by expedition tea and biscuits, children crossed crevasses, climbed glaciers and collected a database of penguins and seals that they spotted along the way.

Thankfully, everyone returned safely after a truly memorable experience and a wonderful way to conclude our topic.
